What is a Partial Hospitalization Program?
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an outpatient treatment designed for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders who do not require 24-hour care. At our PHP facility, we provide intensive care that supports recovery while allowing participants to retain some of their independence.PHP programs typically involve treatment five days a week—with sessions lasting about six hours each day. During the program, you attend both group and individual therapy sessions and engage in activities designed to support your recovery. At the end of the day, you then return home or to a sober living residence.
At United Recovery Project, sessions include evidence-based therapies, such as individual counseling, group therapy, and family sessions. These evidence-based therapies are further combined with relapse prevention training, holistic modalities, and a 12-step education program. These individual components designed to address the underlying causes of addiction and help build emotional resilience.
PHP recovery is ideal for individuals transitioning from inpatient care who still need a structured environment to continue their progress. It’s also a valuable option for those requiring more support than traditional outpatient programs but without the need for 24-hour residential care.
