Approximately 25.8 percent of Americans reported binge drinking in the last month, according to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. However, only 7.2 percent of individuals suffering from alcohol use disorder (AUD) received treatment within the last year. The statistics don’t lie: there’s an alarming alcohol abuse problem in the United States. If you’re an alcoholic, it’s essential to remember that you’re not alone, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Here at United Recovery Project, we have various substance abuse treatment options, including our alcohol partial hospitalization program (PHP). Individuals suffering from alcoholism symptoms first enter our alcohol detox center to flush alcohol from their symptoms and overcome the adverse side effects of withdrawal.
After successfully completing the alcohol detox program, recovering addicts can begin our alcohol partial hospitalization program if they live in a substance-free home or move into a sober living community. During their time in the partial hospitalization program, recovering addicts participate in various alcohol addiction therapy programs that help alleviate the pain caused by their alcohol dependency, develop lifelong skills, and overcome trauma.
